WTYU.rocks We Tune You Up
Get ready to dive into a glitter-drenched, joy-packed, glam rock revival—Fandabidozi, the first album from Bobbie Dazzle, the alter ego of multi-talented rocker Siân Greenway, is here to shake up the scene with pure, unfiltered fun. Channeling the spirit of ‘70s glam with a fresh, modern spin, Greenway is on a mission to bring back the glitz, glam, and feel-good vibes we didn’t know we needed. Her goal? To lift spirits, bring a pop of color to the world, and get audiences moving with unapologetically catchy tunes.
“Performing as Bobbie Dazzle lets me be totally myself—silly, upbeat, and full of energy,” Greenway says. “Scrolling through old posts, I found one from five years ago where I said, ‘I want to start a glam rock band.’ And now, here I am, finally doing it!”
A Glam-Infused Tribute to Life’s Good Times
Fandabidozi is more than an album—it’s a celebration. Inspired by icons like Bowie, T. Rex, Suzi Quatro, and The Sweet, Greenway has crafted a collection of songs that will hook fans with riffs, hooks, and loads of glam-rock swagger. The album, released through Rise Above Records, brings a burst of positivity to the darker moments of life, which for Greenway started as a therapeutic project after the passing of her sister. Creating this project was her way of “staying above the storm,” bringing together talented musicians from Birmingham and the Black Country for a powerhouse lineup.
“It started as something I needed to survive a dark time. I wrote some songs, made demos, and got a group together. Eight months later, here we are!”
From the opening blast of “Lightning Fantasy” to the anthemic “Back To The City,” Fandabidozi is loaded with catchy, feel-good tracks that aren’t afraid to go big. For Greenway, every song on the album is a testament to the uplifting power of music.
Reviving Glam Rock’s Golden Era with a Personal Twist
Although Siân didn’t live through glam rock’s heyday, her childhood was steeped in it, thanks to her parents’ record collection. “My dad was into American glam and punk like New York Dolls and Iggy Pop, while my mom loved Bowie and T. Rex. It shaped my sound. I loved The Sweet especially—they showed that you could be ridiculous and still rock out with real musical chops.”
One of the standout tracks, “Lightning Fantasy,” even features lyrics written by her late father when he was a teen. Greenway discovered them while clearing out her sister’s belongings and knew it was a sign. “It was like my dad was saying, ‘Do this! I’m proud of you.’ So I basically dedicated the album to him… and stole his lyrics!” she laughs.
Modern Vibes with Classic Glam Tricks
Greenway’s respect for the original glam sound is all over Fandabidozi. “I loved getting into the studio and working with the techniques from those classic records. Handclaps everywhere, double vocals with slap-back delay—it’s amazing how those old-school tricks can still elevate the music today.”
Packed with tracks that have timeless energy, Fandabidozi is bursting with catchy riffs and shimmering choruses designed to take audiences back to the days of “Get It On” and “Blockbuster,” without feeling like a retro act. Instead, Bobbie Dazzle is here to bring glam rock back to life for the 21st century.
With Fandabidozi out now, Greenway and her band are ready to hit the stage. “Touring is next. I want to strut, spread some glitz, and show people that life’s too serious to be taken too seriously. Let’s find the joy!”
