The Fixx, the British new wave band renowned for their distinctive sound and thought-provoking lyrics, graced the stage at The Keswick Theatre in Glenside, PA, on Sunday, April 6, as part of their 2025 USA Tour.
The setlist featured a balanced mix of tracks spanning four decades and nine studio albums. From their 1982 debut Shuttered Room to their most recent release, Every Five Seconds (2022), the band took the audience on a journey through their expansive catalog. Newer tracks like “A Life Survived,” “Closer,” and “Wake Up” were seamlessly woven between timeless classics such as “Stand or Fall,” “Red Skies,” “Saved by Zero,” and “One Thing Leads to Another,” creating a dynamic and engaging performance. Audience members were captivated by the band’s energy and cohesion, with lead singer Cy Curnin’s charismatic stage presence and the group’s tight musicianship drawing particular praise.
Supporting the band on this tour is singer-songwriter Jill Sobule. She rose to prominence in the 1990s with hits like “I Kissed a Girl” and “Supermodel.” Blending elements of folk, pop, and rock, Sobule is celebrated for her sharp wit and storytelling prowess. Her set provided a refreshing and thoughtful contrast to The Fixx’s, adding depth and variety to the evening’s musical landscape.
The Keswick Theatre, known for its intimate setting and historic charm, proved to be the perfect venue for the night. Its acoustics and atmosphere enhanced the performances, offering fans a memorable and immersive experience.
Fans can look forward to more memorable shows on this tour, featuring a blend of The Fixx’s classic hits and Sobule’s distinctive musical storytelling. For a complete list of tour dates and ticket information, visit The Fixx’s official website listed below.
