Steel Panther lit up Glenside this past Sunday with their electrifying 15th-anniversary “Feel The Steel” tour stop at the Keswick Theatre.
The show was a lively homage to glam metal, giving fans everything they could have hoped for from this flamboyant group. Many attendees arrived dressed in their best ’80s-inspired outfits, ready to rock out to hits like “Eyes Of A Panther,” “Asian Hooker,” “The Shocker,” “17 Girls In A Row,” and “Community Property” from the band’s iconic 2009 album, Feel The Steel.
Lead vocalist Ralph “Michael Starr” Saenz, guitarist Russ “Satchel” Parrish, bassist Joe “Spyder” Lester, and drummer Darren “Stix Zadinia” delivered not only stellar musicianship but also the cheeky, laugh-out-loud banter that fans have come to expect. Their comedic antics had the crowd roaring with laughter throughout the night.
Supporting Steel Panther was Baltimore-based rock outfit Stone Horses, led by frontman John Allen, whose name may be familiar to readers as the drummer for Charm City Devils. The band brought their own powerhouse performance to the stage, winning over the crowd with their energetic set and gritty, bluesy hard rock sound. Stone Horses delivered standout tracks like “Die Young,” which was recently highlighted in KK’s most recent Pick Six. Their combination of heartfelt lyrics and raw power made them a perfect opener for the night, leaving a lasting impression on the audience.
