Def Leppard have returned with new music. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame rockers have released their latest single, “Rejoice,” offering a fresh slab of hard-charging arena rock just ahead of their upcoming Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace.
The band’s Rejoice arrives as fans prepare for Def Leppard: Live at Caesars Palace, a residency that kicks off on February 3 at The Colosseum and runs through the end of the month. The new track blends the band’s signature multi-layered vocals and big choruses with a rhythmic energy that recalls the band’s classic sound.
According to band members, Rejoice was born from a collaboration between singer Joe Elliott and guitarist Phil Collen, with a distinctive drum loop leading the charge and shaping the song’s structure. This approach gives Rejoice a tribal-infused foundation paired with the band’s unmistakable arena rock power.
“We love it. It’s hard rock for us,” Collen said, describing the track as having “a bit more of an ‘oomph’ than stuff we’ve been doing for a while.”
Rejoice marks the band’s first original song release in some time and arrives just as Def Leppard prepares to bring decades of hits and deep cuts to audiences in Las Vegas. The residency solidifies the band’s enduring connection with fans and highlights their ability to still create compelling new material that nods to their classic style.
The Las Vegas shows run from February 3–28 at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, following the band’s previous residencies and extensive touring history. Fans can expect to hear Rejoice alongside classics from across Def Leppard’s catalog when the band hits the stage.
Details on the single and band comments originally appeared in Louder Sound / Classic Rock magazine.
